Accumulators

Hydropneumatic Accumulators are Bladder, Diaphragm or Piston type pressure vessels capable of storing large amounts of energy in comparison to their volume. This comes from utilising incompressibility of fluids and the compressibility of an inert gas OFN (Oxygen Free Nitrogen), separated using a Bladder, Diaphragm or Piston.

Accumulators

Hydropneumatic Accumulators are Bladder, Diaphragm or Piston type pressure vessels capable of storing large amounts of energy in comparison to their volume. This comes from utilizing incompressibility of fluids and the compressibility of an inert gas OFN (Oxygen Free Nitrogen), separated using a Bladder, Diaphragm or Piston.
The Pre-Charge pressure of the OFN is set lower than the system fluid pressure allowing the fluid to compress the gas side of the Accumulator. The stored fluid is then released back into the circuit when the system sees a pressure drop. Ensuring the circuit maintains a safe working pressure.
The stored energy from Accumulators is also used as backup energy when other systems fail, allowing the equipment to shutdown correctly or revert to a safe condition.

Piston Type Accumulators

Piston type Accumulators discharge faster and with less pressure drop than Membrane Type. Piston type Accumulators also fail more gradually.
Unlike others on the market our Accumulators can be easily disassembled, and new spares fitted increasing the life of our units.
Piston Type Accumulators should be used when:

The Pre-fill pressure is very close to the minimum working pressure of the system

There is a narrow pressure differential that the liquid must be kept between.

Pistoltite

A Pistolite is a piston type accumulator. Its main features are a solid, lightweight piston, with close coupled seals and dual Graphite filled bearing strips for low friction.

IndAcc

Indicating Accumulator with a tell-tale rod for indication of piston placement/volume. Solid Light-Weight Piston, Close-Coupled Seals, Dual Graphite-Filled Bearing Strips for Low Stiction, Various Seal Elastomers, Zero Leakage when Shut Down, Super-Fast RLocking, Flow-Thru Port Facility.

Magdacc

Magnetic switching Accumulator with magnets and limit switches for automated pump delivery.

Membrane Type Accumulators

PipeGuard

PipeGuards are generally manufactured using a stainless-steel body and end closure, however PVC, Carbon Steel and Duplex along with many more alternatives can be used depending on the requirements of the customer.

ShockGuard

Stop pump start up surge, valve closure shock, and shut down back flow water hammer using shock alleviators from the pipeline shock and surge prevention people, ShockGuard. Manufacturer of large vessels for high pressure with matching bladders, diaphragms, gas bags, and bellows, for over 1/3 of a century.

Flexorber

Flexorber (high pressure) and ShockGuards (low pressure): The Largest chamber diameter to port hole ratio (best high frequency pulse interception with flow velocity smoothing). Both types of damper work in the same way but are manufactured differently.
