Surge Alleviators

Shock & Surge Alleviators capture excess pressure, volume and flow in a piped system caused by surge, shock, or hammer. The excess is then released back into the system when it is safe to do so. All our Surge/Shock Alleviators work in the same way. They provide a soft place, so that the pump does not have to instantly accelerate all the liquid in the pipe system when it starts.

Similarly, they provide a place into which flow can continue, for a time, against increasing resistance when a valve has been slammed. In both cases, because time has increased, peak pressure generation is decreased. In short, they all prevent the peak pressure from being generated.

Shock and Surge Alleviators react instantly to any event which makes them a safer option to other products available.

SurgeGuard

With the liquid inside the bladder, as the pressure increases the bladder simply expands until it is supported by the wall of the shell. This feature enables SurgeGuard to work in applications that are required to operate over a wide range of pressures.

JumboFlex

Liquid outside the gas bag enables a high cushion pressure of the gas in the bag and the higher the shock cushioning pressure, the smaller the shock alleviator needs to be.

PipeHugger

The advantage of a PipeHugger is it has liquid inside its bladder therefore, the gas cushion shell does not have to be manufactured from high cost stainless and other materials.

PipeGuards are generally manufactured using a stainless-steel body and end closure, however PVC, Carbon Steel and Duplex along with many more alternatives can be used depending on the requirements of the customer.
